A magpie collects shiny things. So do we.

Kachkachi (ყაჩყაჩი) means magpie in Georgian. We're building the calmest way to ask for gifts, and the kindest way to give them.

Why we made it

Every birthday, the same group chat: "What do you want?" "Oh, anything." Then two friends buy the same scarf, and the thing you really wanted stays in a browser tab for another year.

Wishlists should fix that. But most of them ask your friends to create an account, quietly show you who bought what, or want your home address before you can share a thing.

So we made one that does none of that. You save gifts from any shop, share one short link, and friends pick something in their browser. You see that a gift is taken, never by whom.

Born where gifts are a big deal

In Georgia, a celebration isn't small: birthdays, supras, new flats, weddings with half the city. Plans happen in Telegram and WhatsApp, and gifts come from everywhere, from big stores to a ceramicist's Instagram.

  • One link that works in any chat app
  • Gifts from any shop or Instagram account
  • Prices in lari by default, other currencies per gift
  • A Georgian logo from day one: ყაჩყაჩი

Where we've been, where we're going

No big launch, just steady steps towards a better way to give.

  1. Done

    The group-chat problem

It started with one too many duplicate gifts and a list of links nobody could keep track of.

  2. Done

    A wishlist on the web

Lists, gifts from any link with the title, photo and price filled in, and reservations that stay anonymous.

  3. Done

    Kachkachi Plus

Unlimited lists, price-drop alerts, chipping in on bigger gifts and extras for creators.

  4. Now

    One link per person

Everyone gets kachkachi.com/you, with every list underneath. And a site in English, with Russian and Georgian on the way.

  5. Next

    Apps for iPhone and Android

Share straight from shop apps, reminders before the big day, price drops on your lock screen.

  6. Later

    Your language, everywhere

Georgian and Russian across the whole app, not just the website.

How Kachkachi makes money

Simply: some people pay for Plus, and that pays for everyone else's free lists.

  • Free for most people

2 lists with unlimited gifts, free for good. That covers most birthdays.

  • Plus for more

$9.99 a year for unlimited lists, price-drop alerts, chipping in and creator extras.

  • No ads, no data sales

We don't show ads and we don't sell or share your data with advertisers. Ever.

  • Payments by Paddle

Paddle, our reseller, handles cards, tax and receipts. Your guests never pay anything.

Privacy by design

Some promises are settings. Ours are built into how Kachkachi works.

  • No names on reservations

Owner screens only ever get "taken" or "free", never who.

  • No address or phone fields

We never ask, so we can never leak them.

  • No guest accounts

Guests are known only by a random device code, and we store only its hash.

What we believe

  • Surprises matter

You see that a gift is taken, never by whom. That's not a setting, it's the design.

  • Friends shouldn't need accounts

Giving a gift should take a minute, not a sign-up form.

  • Your address is yours

We never ask for a home address or phone number. Not now, not later.

  • Local first

Built in Tbilisi for how people here celebrate, and open to everyone else too.
