The surprise is the product.
A wishlist only works if nobody can peek. These are the promises Kachkachi is built around, and how we keep them.
Our promises
Owners never see who
You see that a gift is taken, never by whom. Not on your screens, not in notifications, not anywhere.
No address, no phone
Kachkachi has no field for a home address or phone number. We don't want them.
Guests stay anonymous
No guest accounts. A random device code lets guests manage their own reservations; we only keep its hash.
No trackers
No analytics or advertising cookies. Just the few cookies the site needs to work.
Who sees what
| Feature | You (owner) | Your guests |
|---|---|---|
| Your gifts, prices and notes | ||
| Whether a gift is taken | Yes, or hidden in spoiler-free mode | |
| Who reserved a gift | — | Only their own |
| Names of people who chipped in | — | Only other contributors |
| How many times the list was opened | A daily count | — |
| Your Telegram username | — | Only if you add it |
Taken means taken, and nothing more
When a friend reserves a gift, we store which gift and a hash of their device code. If they type a name, it stays with the reservation and is never shown to you.
- A gift can never be taken more times than you asked for
- Guests cancel from the same device
- Owner screens only get taken: yes or no
Pledges, not payments
On bigger gifts, friends pledge an amount. Kachkachi never touches the money: contributors settle up among themselves. Names are visible only to the other people who chipped in.
- You see the total pledged, never who
- No card details for guests, ever
- Contributors can change or cancel their pledge
A PO box instead of your door
If you're a creator receiving gifts from followers, Kachkachi Plus lets you show a PO box or pickup point. Your home address never enters the picture.
- Pick a PO box or a pickup point
- Shown on your profile only if you choose
- Or hand gifts over in person, like always
Make a list worth keeping secret.
Free for your birthday. No address, no phone, no spoilers.
